Bomb Pop®
Marinated Shrimp


This appetizer is sure to be a conversation starter! Make a marinade for shrimp from a Bomb Pop® and chili paste. Dip the shrimp in tempura batter, deep fry and serve.
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

  • 2 large shrimp
  • 1 Blue Bunny® Bomb Pop®
  • 1 oz. chili paste
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

Melt Bomb Pop® in a sauté pan, add chili paste and cool. Place shrimp in mixture to marinate. Marinate for about eight hours. Whisk together egg, cornstarch, and water for batter. Dip shrimp into batter and deep fry until brown.

I must admit when I first heard about this recipe I was skeptical. But since I have tried it, I can say it is absolutely delicious! Who would have thought to use ice cream as an ingredient in cooking meals. I look forward to trying more!
