Blue Bunny

Blue Bunny®
Frosty Reindeer

This frosty ice cream reindeer is so cute, you won't want to eat it!
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 15 minutes - freeze time extra
Makes: 4 servings

  • 4 Blue Bunny® Simply Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwiches
  • 1/4 cup whipped topping
  • 4 cinnamon red hot candies (cinnamon imperials)
  • 8 individually wrapped soft & chewy caramels, about 1-1/4-inches long
  • 4 mini candy canes

Cut each candy cane at the inside curve to form curved antlers, saving a straight piece for a tail. Cut four 1/2-inch "tails" out of straight pieces. Set aside. Cut 4 caramels into 3/4-inch pieces; press a cinnamon candy onto 1 uncut side of each. Using a chopstick or clean, unsharpened pencil; press two indentations into 1 side of each of 4 caramels. Gently press 1 antler into each. Press a caramel "nose" against each reindeer "head," set aside. Removing one ice cream sandwich from freezer at a time, slice ice cream sandwiches in half lengthwise then across to form 3-inch lengths. Spread top of one 3-inch length with whipped topping; sandwich other 3-inch length on top. Cut short pieces of ice cream sandwich for 2 legs. Set reindeer body onto legs. Place caramel head onto body and insert candy cane tail into ice cream. Freeze until solid. Repeat with remaining ice cream sandwiches.

Set freezer temperature to coldest setting; freeze ice cream sandwiches overnight.

Have extra candy canes available in case of breakage.
