We have an opening for a Process Control Tech I at our South Ice Cream Plant. The primary duties of this position will be under general supervision, performs and inspects preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical and electronic components.

Other responsibilities troubleshoots, replaces, calibrates, and tests malfunctioning (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical) components on high speed machinery systems, and process control systems. Inspect, clean, treat for corrosion and perform system operational checks on high speed machinery systems, industrial control systems, and instrumentation systems. Perform on line edits, and program changes with Rockwell PLC¿s including using RS logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, and RS Linx software. Analyze and repair components using conventional and digital multi meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters and hand tools. Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications. Design and build industrial control panels for control upgrades, or for new equipment and processes. This person will perform duties maintaining and establishing compliance with all Federal, State, and local rules and written regulations while encouraging positive behavior to ensure a safe working environment. Monitors work factors for safe working environment, facilities, tools, and equipment. Models and maintains good housekeeping policy and promotes actions to enhance corporate environmental stewardship.

The top rate of pay is $26.37 per hour. The hours are STRAIGHT NIGHTS, with a start time of 4:00 p.m. with this schedule subject to change depending on business needs. The normal workweek is Sunday through Thursday with some weekend work required.

Job duties for this position include promoting safety amongst coworkers and practicing safe work habits at all times. The position also performs specific duties to ensure the mechanical integrity and safety of the ammonia refrigeration system. This would include performing mechanical preventative maintenance within the assigned area of responsibility. Performs work according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complies with all regulations, codes and safety procedures required to complete assigned work.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 2 years experience in ammonia/refrigeration/Boilers or comparative specialized education in ammonia refrigeration/boilers and a strong mechanical background. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Entrance into the Refrigeration Department requires passing a respiratory physical. The person that accepts this position must attain a RETA CARO certification with 18 months. Other duties as assigned.

Upon acceptance of this position no increase will occur but you will begin a 90-day pay/performance review schedule. The top rate of pay is $23.43 per hour with skill progression potential. The hours are STRAIGHT DAYS with the start time of 7:00 am until approximately 5:30 pm. The normal work week will be Monday through Friday with rotating weekend work hours and must be willing to work holidays.

Wells' Enterprises, Ince. has an opening for an Associate Marketing Manager, Branded Packaged at our Corporate Office in Le Mars, IA. This position with guidance manages the new product development (NPD) process and assists in planning, analyzing and implementing programs for a specific strategic business unit (SBU).

Other responsibilities include:

  • Actively seek and manages opportunities to reduce waste and improve margins while maintaining desired delivery of the brand promise to customers and consumers. Assist in execution of corporate sustainability initiatives. Recommends process improvement opportunities.
  • Assists Marketing Manager in analyzing ongoing business performance and program effectiveness relative to plan objectives and competitive benchmarks. The candidate identifies key insights and implications that help cross-functional teams refine tactical plans, resulting in improved customer and consumer purchase and loyalty.
  • Executes assigned tasks and projects with excellence with some supervision. This includes new product plans, marketing and communication programs, research projects, pricing initiatives and volume forecasting. This person assists with ad hoc initiatives as necessary.
  • With guidance they will manage development, launch and tracking of new product projects through established NPD process.
  • Delivers core team initiatives within defined time, cost and success parameters. Influences cross-functional peers and builds broad functional alignment while meeting project objectives.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors' degree in Marketing or Sales. MBA perferred. With 1-3 years of Marketing experience required or combination of MBA and experience. Knowledge and familiarity with NPD process and overall business strategy.
