Wells Enterprises, Inc. has an opening for a Process Control Tech I at our South Ice Cream Plant in Le Mars, IA. The primary duties of this position will be under general supervision, performs and inspects preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of electrical and electronic components. Other responsibilities troubleshoots, replaces, calibrates, and tests malfunctioning (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical) components on high speed machinery systems, and process control systems. Inspect, clean, treat for corrosion and perform system operational checks on high speed machinery systems, industrial control systems, and instrumentation systems. Perform on line edits, and program changes with Rockwell PLC's including using RS logix 5, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, and RS Linx software. Analyze and repair components using conventional and digital multi meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters and hand tools. Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications. Design and build industrial control panels for control upgrades, or for new equipment and processes. This person will perform duties maintaining and establishing compliance with all Federal, State, and local rules and written regulations while encouraging positive behavior to ensure a safe working environment. Monitors work factors for safe working environment, facilities, tools, and equipment. Models and maintains good housekeeping policy and promotes actions to enhance corporate environmental stewardship. Qualified applicants need a minimum of 2-year Associates Degree in a controls-related field - OR - a minimum of 2 years industrial control systems experience or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. This professional is responsible for providing technical support, coordination, design, and installation and start-up support of projects assigned to the engineering workshop. Mentors workshop personnel in troubleshooting methodologies. Develops internal contacts across the company. Coordinates special projects as directed by the Manager, Design and Reliability Support. Coordinates project work provided by sub-contract labor. Oversees sub-contract work to ensure quality and consistency. Wells Enterprises, Inc. currently has an opening for a Packaging Engineer in the Engineering Department at our corporate office in Le Mars, Iowa. This position will provide support and technical expertise in areas to include New Product Development (NPD), Troubleshooting on Packaging Materials, Specification Management, Qualification of Materials and Vendors, and Packaging Innovation. Responsibilities will include: -Recommending, driving, and leading packaging improvements, utilizing key performance indicators, with operational efficiency improvements. -Establishing relationships with key vendors and holding vendors accountable to the development process disciplines. -Demonstrating ability to lead others with high rate of first run success with new product development and project work. -Providing technical expertise across ranges of packaging mediums utilized at Wells and demonstrated knowledge on equipment capabilities to efficiently and effectively integrate new packaging into the equipment. -Providing packaging design alternatives (innovation) and packaging expertise to deliver to Marketing the design and specifications required. Wells Enterprises, Inc. currently has an opening for a Refrigeration Engineer supporting our facilities in Le Mars, Iowa. This position facilitates the implementation of regulatory compliance at the plant level and drives continuous improvement for the Utilities Systems. This position will develop and drive concepts for improved system safety, maintainability, reliability, and efficiency, specifically with regard to energy, chemicals, water, maintenance, labor, operating practices, etc. Consistently monitors and analyzes systems performance and communicates status. This position reports to the Corporate Fluid Utilities Manager. Qualifications include B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and/or; 1-4 years experience in a related field; Knowledge of the ammonia refrigeration systems and associated utilities systems; Complete knowledge of PSM and other regulatory requirements; Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards F/M/V/D encouraged to apply.
