We have an opening for an Organizational Development Manager at our Corporate Office in Le Mars, IA. This position is responsible for supporting performance and culture through effective Organizational Development (OD) strategies, processes and interventions that strengthen individual and organizational capabilities to execute strategic business objectives.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Influence and provide internal consulting, thought leadership and coaching to business leaders at all levels of the organization to improve performance and drive change.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and functional business unit leaders to identify needs to perform and execute strategy, including individual and group performance, processes and structure, defining measurable objectives to achieve through interventions.
  • Ensure evaluation and communication of the effectiveness and business impact of processes and interventions.
  • Lead OD project teams and manage projects and resources to ensure effective delivery and implementation of processes and interventions to achieve defined objectives and customer expectations.
  • Design, develop, evaluate, and deliver learning/training programs.
  • Ensure effective Organizational Development (OD) strategies, processes and interventions are selected or designed and developed to achieve defined objectives and customer expectations, such as performance management, leadership and employee development curriculums, succession planning, coaching, and talent selection and review processes.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors' degree in HR, Training and Development, OD, or Business Admin, HR emphasis or minor preferred. 8-10 years relevant and progressive experience in training, learning development and organizational development disciplines. Managerial experience preferred

Wells is seeking a HR Generalist at the South Ice Cream Plant to provide day-to-day support to assigned client groups by executing the tactical aspects of Human Resources in the areas of employee relations, labor relations, training, staffing, compensation and benefits. Responsibilities will include:

  • Interprets company policies and counsels employees on employment issues. Assists with the implementation of new company policies and ensures compliance.
  • Consults with supervisors and managers on basic labor and employee relations issues. Assist management at the tactical level to resolve issues and develop solutions.
  • Partners with management team to effectively facilitate, administer and execute established performance management processes such as, 1:1¿s, coaching discussions, disciplinary action, performance development or improvement plans and formal performance reviews.
  • Participates in the recruitment and selection process for internal and external candidates. Responsible for interviewing and providing feedback on hiring decisions. Partners with Compensation to determine equitable employment offers.
  • Partners with other HR functions to disseminate departmental or company-wide communications effectively.
  • Coordinates departmental changes including: promotions, transfers, equity adjustments and restructures. Partners with management to create and/or update existing job descriptions as necessary.
  • Delivers training and development programs in partnership with OD team as needed.
  • Actively support organizational change and continuous improvement efforts in conjunction with the Organizational Development (OD) team.

Candidates must possess knowledge of HR policies and procedures and various employment laws and practices (ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.). Solid communication skills (verbal and written), as well as, effective interpersonal skills are required to establish business relationships with assigned groups. The ability to evaluate situations, recommend options and implement solutions is also critical.

Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is required. Previous HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or production work environment is also required.

Senior Corporate Communications Specialist

Wells¿ Enterprises, Inc. currently has an opening for a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist at our Corporate Office in Le Mars, Iowa. In conjunction with Corp. Comm. Management team, develop and execute communication strategies and plans for external and internal audiences and vehicles. Write, edit, proofread and project manage communication vehicles including newsletters, video, posters, talking points, electronic, events, other. Serve as project and subject-matter lead on key issues, as needed.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Make recommendations and implement Corp. Comm. Strategies and programs through project management and implementation of events and vehicles. Includes writing and producing newsletters, video, posters, talking points, electronic communication, meeting presentations, other for either external or internal audiences as needed.
  • Make recommendations and implement new technologies with regards to internal communications. Act as expert on Sharepoint upgrade with regards to internal communications capabilities, and integrate new technology into internal communication strategies and plans.
  • Work closely with Corp. Comm. Leadership to follow social media policy and opportunities to integrate social media into internal communications where possible.
  • Own communication strategy and implement communication plans for key ongoing issues for internal audiences, includes wellness, safety, voice of the consumer, performance management, policy updates.
  • Act as key proofreader and writer for Corp. Comm. Team. Strong knowledge of AP style, fabulous headline composer.

Qualified applicants must have the minimum requirements:

  • BA in Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of Corporate Communications experience
  • Skills - Excellent writer, proofreader, project manager; Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
  • Abilities - Excellent team player, ability to take initiative and identify gaps in Corp. Comm. Programs or strategies
