This professional will lead talent acquisition, staffing, and recruiting at Wells towards becoming the #1 ice cream company in America. They will specifically work with the internal business clients of plant operations both hourly and salary. The position is located in our state of the art Corporate Center in LeMars, IA.
Responsible for the full utilization of recruiting information/applicant tracking system including posting open positions, maintaining status of requisitions, candidate pipeline and flow.
Budgetary responsibilities as directed by manager.
Promote Affirmative Action goals and initiatives; ensure compliance with OFFCP guidelines. Remains current on federal and state laws regarding employment practices and ensures compliance. Also includes employment verifications and I-9 compliance.
Supports the hiring managers by sourcing, screening, interviewing and referring applicants. Coordinate travel and interview schedules.
Establish positive relationships with candidates, effectively ¿sell¿ the company as an employer of choice, and assist in negotiating/closing hires. Ensure timely completion of the necessary documentation (i.e. background screens, relocation, employment verification).
If necessary, source and manage relationships with outside search firms.
Ensures a positive assimilation of new hires by facilitating the relocation (if required) and onboarding processes. Ensure all documents (from pre-hire to post) are in order.
Collaborates with business partners to support short and long-term business needs by proactively developing needs assessments, headcount forecasting, metrics and the implementation of selection criteria assessments.
Develops effective partnerships to understand business and recruiting needs and implements talent acquisition strategies. Ensures the recruitment process is proactive, follows industry best practices as well as utilizes innovative sourcing strategies.
Extract, develop and interpret workforce and labor market trends as it applies to talent acquisition. Makes recommendations that drive process improvement and strategies.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related area. PHR, SPHR or other HR Related Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in an HR related field with 2+ years in staffing/recruitment.
