Service Desk Supervisor

Wells Enterprises, Inc. currently has an opening for a Service Desk Supervisor in our Information Technician Department in Le Mars, Iowa.

This individual is responsible for owning daily activities for the IT Service Desk, supporting IT related devices and software for all employees. Under general guidance, lead the Service Desk team through mentoring and coaching. Through continuous improvement methods establishes and refines processes, techniques, tools, and methods used by the Service Desk team to provide exceptional support and services to customers.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the process of providing support to end users for incident resolution. Guide team (internal and external resources) through standardized troubleshooting procedures and develop troubleshooting documents. Assist in the testing and implementation of new software and hardware technologies.
  • Manage Projects to ensure the successful upgrade or deployment of desktop hardware and software in compliance with internal controls, policies and standards. Review, analyze, and make recommendations for desktop for desktop hardware and software standards.
  • Manage incident creation and escalation process, including the call/ response flow for internal as well as well as external resources dedicated to the IT service desk.
  • Analyze and identify trends in incident reporting and develop preventative solutions via problem and root cause analysis. Make recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Create and maintain Service Desk knowledge base system.
  • Lead initiatives to evaluate and leverage desktop support tools and problem management systems.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor as dictated by business necessity.

Applicants are preferred to have a minimum of an Associates degree with an emphasis in computers or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree and certification by recognized industry leading firms is strongly preferred.

Applicants are preferred to have 5 or more years of computer repair, hardware, and software troubleshooting experience as well as at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience and/or certification in project and business process management competencies strongly preferred. Leadership experience is required.

Programmer Analyst

Wells Enterprises currently has a Programmer Analyst opening on our Web Development Team at our corporate office. We are considering all candidates from recent graduates to experienced Professionals. Final position will be determined based on candidates skills and experience. We are a team based environment where each team supports key business areas. The Web Development team develops and maintains the company┬┐s internal and external Websites, such as bluebunny.com. It is involved in social media infrastructure, web analytics, SEO, surveys, and search capabilities.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to analyze, design, develop, maintain and improve business processes and corresponding software applications to allow Wells Enterprises to function according to user needs for the assigned area. This is accomplished according to the priorities and direction established by management. Guidance and assistance will come from other members of the Application Development team as needed. Exhibit proficient technical skills/abilities required for developing, implementing and maintaining business software applications within specified time frames, using the tools required for the position. Utilize independent judgment to efficiently create technical solutions by applying skills and knowledge as well as interpreting business requirements and strategy. Test/debug application systems to ensure accuracy, standards compliance, meet requirements, and have acceptable response times while adhering to time constraints and project deadlines. Document application systems and procedures according to organizational needs. This includes test scripts, LDRP, maintenance, process, training, customer, etc., ensuring compliance with department standards and proper handoff to testing team. Technically lead efforts of small to moderately complex projects, occasionally giving direction to other team members, and at times internal customers. Prioritize in accordance with guidance provided and organizational needs, meeting specified time line/s. Proactive problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Attention to detail with systematic and thorough documentation skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to analyze moderately complex assignments, define and create solutions.

The position will involve a concentrated use of ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, PL/SQL, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Google Analytics, ExactTarget, IIS, Mobile technology, SharePoint, MS SQL Server and Oracle databases in a complex environment.

We are looking for a motivated, self-starting, meticulous, conscientious, analytical, and objective-driven team player who is a quick learner, and has good troubleshooting and communication skills.
