Programmer/Analyst

Wells Enterprises currently have a Programmer/Analyst opening on our Inventory Logistics Team at our corporate office. We are considering all candidates from recent graduates to experienced Professionals. Final position will be determined based on candidate's skills and experience. We are a team based environment where each team supports key business areas. The Inventory Logistics team supports the Procurement, Warehouse (Dry & Frozen), and Transportation areas.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, maintains and improves business processes and corresponding software applications to allow Wells Enterprises to function according to user needs for the assigned area. This is accomplished according to the priorities and direction established by management. Guidance and assistance will come from other members of the Application Development team as needed.
  • Exhibits proficient technical skills/abilities required for developing, implementing and maintaining business software applications within specified time frames, using the tools required for the position.
  • Utilizes independent judgment to efficiently create technical solutions by applying skills and knowledge as well as interpreting business requirements and strategy.
  • Tests/debugs application systems to ensure accuracy, standards compliance, meet requirements, and have acceptable response times while adhering to time constraints and project deadlines.
  • Documents application systems and procedures according to organizational needs. This includes test scripts, LDRP, maintenance, process, training, customer, etc., ensuring compliance with department standards and proper handoff to testing team.
  • Technically leads efforts of small to moderately complex projects, occasionally giving direction to other team members, and at times internal customers.
  • Prioritizes in accordance with guidance provided and organizational needs, meeting specified time line(s).
  • Proactive problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with systematic and thorough documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to analyze moderately complex assignments, define and create solutions.
  • Knowledge with Oracle Purchasing, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management Applications and uses various Oracle Development technologies (Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, PLSQL, Java, JavaScript).
  • Motivated, self-starting, meticulous, conscientious, analytical, and objective-driven team player who is a quick learner, and has good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience with development or support of Operations or Supply Chain applications.

We will consider soon to be, or recent grads, depending on GPA and other solid traits.

Programmer Analyst

Wells Enterprises currently has a Programmer Analyst opening on our Web Development Team at our Corporate Office in Le Mars, IA. We are considering all candidates from recent graduates to experienced Professionals. Final position will be determined based on candidate skills and experience. We are a team based environment where each team supports key business areas. The Web Development Team develops and maintains the company┬┐s internal and external Websites, such as bluebunny.com. It is involved in social media infrastructure, web analytics, SEO, surveys, and search capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, maintains and improves business processes and corresponding software applications to allow Wells Enterprises to function according to user needs for the assigned area.   • Knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, PL/SQL, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Google Analytics, ExactTarget, IIS, Mobile technology, SharePoint, MS SQL Server and Oracle databases in a complex environment.
  • A motivated, self-starting, meticulous, conscientious, analytical, and objective-driven team player who is a quick learner, and has good troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Bachelor┬┐s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering, plus some experience with programming and designing of web sites and web applications.

We will train recent graduates depending on GPA and other solid traits.
