Wells Enterprises, Inc. has a part time opening for a Special Event Coordinator in Le Mars, Iowa. This position will be responsible for the coordination of local deliveries of product, spot merchandisers, and event trailers in support of community outreach efforts within an approximate 60 mile radius of Le Mars.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Interaction/communication with local event organizers (planning, routing, timing)
  • Facilitate the ordering of product, using guidelines and judgment for quantity needs.
  • Organization of ordering, timing and product quantities with internal and external personnel.
  • Display professional appearance and behavior while in attendance at all special events. Be a good ambassador of the company.
  • Monitor maintenance and cleanliness of equipment including freezers, van, truck and trailer.
  • Attend special events for delivery, set-up and tear down. May include evenings and weekends.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity. Typical hours are:

October ¿ March Few to no hours

April ¿ September Average of 4 hours per week

The requirements for this position are to have a driving record that meets Wells standards as well as the ability to hook up and comfortably tow a small trailer. They must have good communication skills and able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing leadership for Foodservice sales through the development and execution of defined Foodservice distribution strategic objectives in order to achieve stated goals.

  • Experience should include supporting key complex accounts to include corporate headquarters while demonstrating Mastery skills in consultative selling, negotiations and coaching.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years people leadership experience.
  • BS/BA in business or related field required. MBA or Master¿s degree in relevant field preferred

Wells' Enterprises, Inc. has an opening for a Demand Planning Analyst in Le Mars, Iowa. This position is responsible for development and communication of the demand forecast for assigned SBU's and products.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for understanding and utilizing both internal and external data resources to ensure an accurate forecast.(i.e. Demantra, Analyzer, IRI, DOD, Retail Links, etc.)
  • Monitor and effectively communicate forecast changes on a regular basis. This includes exception reporting based on management expectations around tolerance levels.
  • Communicate forecasting information to manufacturing and purchasing to allow for proper scheduling and levels of inventory.
  • Generate sales forecast of anticipated demand for assigned new and existing products and markets.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

The requirements for this position are a Bachelor¿s degree. Three to five years related experience, prior use of forecasting software tools, and experience with Microsoft Suite. Must have strong analytical math skills and exceptional attention to detail. Proficient with presentations and APICS certification, preferred.

Wells' Enterprises, Inc. currently has an opening for a Director of Demand Planning in Le Mars, Iowa. This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership for all demand planning, forecasting and inventory management functions within the business.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provides strategic leadership for all demand planning, forecasting and inventory management functions within the business. Ensures sales forecasting and determination of inventory plans is done with best practices and within the company¿s financial plans.
  • Assists in the development of company sales, margin and inventory plans and is responsible for appropriate planning and execution. Ensures performance monitoring mechanisms are in place.
  • Strategically partners with cross-functional leaders in marketing, sales and operations to communicate assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, proactively offer solutions and refine demand plans accordingly.
  • Identifies root cause issues and trends specifically at the customer level. Navigates through complex customer hierarchies and drives forecast accuracy as a result.
